Prize Information

The SCSC awards 5 book prizes, 3 article prizes, a young scholars award, a publication subvention award — the Founder’s Prize – and, on occasion, the SCSC Medal. Nominations for these prizes may be made by anyone, and self nominations are also accepted. 

To support the various prizes of the SCSC, please consider making a donation to the SCSC endowment. Please visit our endowment page. 

For book prizes, please send 3 copies of the book; article prize submission may be made electronically. Submissions for the Founder’s Prize must include the manuscript and publication contract. Please submit all materials for prize nominations by April 1 of the year following publication to the Sixteenth Century Society’s Executive Director:
