The Sixteenth Century Society awards 5 book prizes, 3 article prizes, a graduate student/early career award, a publication award — the Founders’ Prize – and, on occasion, the Society’s most prestigious award – The Society Medal, which recognizes significant contributions to the Society over the winner’s career. Nominations for these prizes may be made by anyone, and self nominations are also welcomed.

All prizes are announced and celebrated during our Prizes Ceremony & Plenary Lecture at the annual conference. Prize winners are also printed in The Sixteenth Century Journal.
